The DP3 Project required provincial approval under the British Columbia Environmental Assessment Act and federal approvals following a review under the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act. The provincial and federal review processes identified potential environmental, economic, social, heritage and/or health impacts and defined how these will be avoided or mitigated. The Project was comprehensively reviewed by federal and provincial government agencies through a single harmonized environmental assessment process facilitated by the B.C. Environmental Assessment Office and was open to the full participation of stakeholders and the general public.
