All electrical appliances must be UL approved and must be in good working order. Compact refrigerators must conform to proper electrical and chemical standards, operate on no more than 2.5 amps, have a capacity not exceeding 5 cubic feet, and have maximum outside dimensions not exceeding 48 inches. One refrigerator is allowed per residence room. Appliances with exposed heating units and/or are used for cooking foods (except hotpots, popcorn poppers and coffeepots, which are acceptable) contained in an enclosed unit are not permitted. All other appliances must be approved at the residence director’s discretion. Space heaters and baseboard units of any type, except when provided by the College, are prohibited. Return to top.
