What amounts should we be use for tuition benefits when preparing budgets for Summer 2009?
The direct charge of tuition benefit as a flat charge to object code 7700 will not begin until Fall 2009 semester. The direct charge (“new methodology”) for summer will not occur until Summer 2010. Summer 2009 will be administered using the “old methodology” tuition remission rates as a percentage of gross salary. For May and June 2009 this “old methodology” tuition remission rate will be 41.28%. Beginning in July 2009 the “old methodology” rate will increase to 46%.
