On average, 43,000 acre-feet per year is pumped from Lake Granbury to Squaw Creek Reservoir for use at the current Comanche Peak plant. Water released from Squaw Creek Reservoir is currently not returned to Lake Granbury. The water released from the plant flows down Squaw Creek and joins the Brazos River downstream of Lake Granbury.
