All of the alternatives to the BCIT Mathematics Competency Test consist of actually enrolling in the required prerequisite course or a course that the BCIT Admissions Department recognizes as equivalent to the prerequisite course, and achieving the required grade. BCIT does not offer the equivalent of BC Principles of Mathematics 11, so you will have to consult a senior highschool or community college in your area. The BCIT courses MATH 0001/MATH 0002/MATH 0005 are recognized by all BCIT programs as equivalent the BC Principles of Mathematics 12. MATH 0001 is offered evenings several times each year and during the day several times in the summer as a continuing education course. MATH 0002 is the identical material offered in a distance education (correspondence) mode. MATH 0005 is the identical material offered as part of the full-time Technology Entry Program at BCIT. Note that the BCIT course MATH 0004, Refresher Mathematics, offered each August as an intensive review of Mathematics
