What alternative is there to RGB to display an image on a UK TV?
This is where things can get a little more complicated. The UK uses a television system called PAL, the US and Japan uses a system called NTSC (this is why imported consoles are often referred to as NTSC consoles). The two systems are not compatible; an NTSC console will not work on a TV that only supports pure PAL. However, there has been a cry from consumers in recent years for TV’s to support NTSC and manufacturers are now including NTSC in their UK TVs.
