What alternate routes to downtown will be available when the NB Spur 527 lanes are closed?
Alternate routes include Beltway 8 to SH 288 for traffic outside the Beltway, Loop 610 to SH 288 for traffic between the Beltway and Loop, and the Main Street, W. Gray/Pierce Street, and Polk Street exits for traffic inside the Loop. Click here to see a map of alternate routes for traffic using the Main Street exit ramp. Alternatives include taking the Garrott Street U-turn to the NB Spur 527 frontage road, turning left on Main Street, or turning left on San Jacinto. The Main Street ramp will also serve medical center traffic via Fannin Street.
