What allowances are paid to Grey Book employees?
The only nationally negotiated allowances at the current time are for out of pocket allowances (latest rates in Circular NJC/4/09), car allowances (latest rates) and an allowance for the installation of communication equipment. (The communication allowance is currently £140.) Allowances such as the mess managers allowance and the reimbursement of removal expenditure have been locally determined since 2004.
