To install and run Kepler, you must have Ptolemy II and a java environment (JDK 1.5 or later recommended). If using Windows, you must also have Cygwin and TortoiseCVS 1.4.5 or higher. We also recommend that Kepler developers download and use Ant to build Kepler and Ptolemy sources.
