The BLACK EYED PEAS have scored a third week at the top of the U.S. pop charts with BOOM BOOM POW as rapper FLO RIDA lands two top 10 hits. Flo Rida’s former chart-topper Right Round drops to five on the new countdown but his new song Sugar is the week’s greatest digital gainer and leaps into the top 10 at seven. Meanwhile, Lady GaGa’s Poker Face holds on to the number two spot, Kid Cudi’s Day âN’ Nite jumps up three spots to three and Jamie Foxx’s Blame It climbs to four. The week’s highest new entry belongs to the Dave Matthews Band, who debut Funny The Way It Is at 37. Though the Peas sold 88,000 copies of their album, late pop superstar Michael Jackson would have pushed them down to the #4 slot if his albums were still eligible for the current charts. As it is, Jackson’s catalog saw a remarkable resurgence after his death last Thursday at the age of 50: Three of his albums selling in excess of 100,000 copies, marking the first time catalog albums outsold the 200 champ. They were ineligible, however, for the Top 200
