What agency administers the NSW Game Hunting Licence System?
Game Council NSW is a Statutory Authority of the NSW Parliament, providing the opportunity to use licensed, trained and accredited hunters in reducing the negative impacts of some of the nation’s worst pests such as pigs, goats, foxes and rabbits. Game Council NSW is overseen by a Council with strong representation from the hunting fraternity, wildlife scientists, land managers and pest agencies who provide direction and a wide range of expertise. Through its hunter education program, a major aim of the Game Council is to ensure conservation hunting by licensees is conducted professionally, ethically and humanely.
