Any United States-based agency that is a recognized 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code may receive a grant from a Hope donor-advised fund. However, all grant requests are reviewed and approved by the Grant Review Committee of the Hope Foundation Board of Directors. Organizations openly antithetical to Christian beliefs will not be approved. Grants cannot be awarded to individuals. Donors also may not receive tangible benefits from a grant. These include items such as meals, concert tickets, tuition or museum membership benefits.
