Edward Cullen appears to be 17, but is really a 108 year old vampire in the book and the movie. If you are talking about the actor who plays Edward Cullen, Robert Pattinson, then he is 22. In the movie, Edward was dying of Spanish Influenza so then in 1918, Carsile transformed him into a vampire. When you are a vampire you stay the same age forever. Carsile would never change somebody into a vampire if they had another choice in which this case Edward didn’t have a choice.
