What age is best to start litter box training a kitten?
I know the kitten is a little past 3 wks. If the kitty is still on just the formula I would wait til you begin solids. I do think kittens that age are beginning to have control over those muscles. Perhaps feed the kitty, do your usual bum wipe but do in/over the box of litter. You can do a scratchy “cover it up action” with the kitty watching. Not sure if I am helpful or not because I have never had to do this, teach a kitten what the mother usually does. And kittens learn by watching. Yikes! I am not laughing at you! I know you are very concerned about this kitten. I just find this particular situation funny. I hope someone else does a better job answering.
