What age can my daughter leave home without getting in trouble by the law of missouri?
Family matters in any state are touch and go. I made a decision of faith when I went and got my daughter from her mom’s house so many years ago. The missouri attorneys that I talked with said that I had little chance of winning my daughter in a custody battle with her suicidal alcholoic mother. I remeber the quote: “short of her showing up to court with a heroin needle hanging from her arm…you will not win custody from the mom.” So, I decided that my little girl deserved a much better life and just bypassed the courts and went and got her when she was in the 7th grade after yet another suicide attempt. The social system in missouri did nothing…..nothing. You have to remember that as a parent we can take some actions to protect our family. Courts and attorneys are all about taking your money and playing a helpless game fit the jerry springer show.
