What age can i start giving my 8 month old toast and finger foods?

8 months is a good age to start finger foods. I steamed some carrots, and snap froze them, so when my sons teeth were playing up, I got him out a nice cool carrot to munch on. Other finger food ideas are cutting any root vegetable (potatoes, sweet potatoes, pumpkin works well) into strips, steaming them and baking them. Your baby can eat chips, but the healthy kind! Cheese sticks are excellent, and as long as you don’t primarily give your baby cheese for a meal (well who would?) it is fine. A lot of women dispute giving dairy to your child under one, but it is completely fine to, as long as full fat milk isn’t the main source of milk. Bananas split down the middle and halved are good too, as are steamed broccoli and cauliflower florets, finger sandwiches etc.
