What aftermarket car stereos are designed for use with the iPod?
In 2004, Alpine release the KCA-420i, a vehicle interface adapter which allowed one to plug an iPod into any compatible 2004-2005 Alpine Ai-NET head unit. At the time it was a unique product, but as the years have rolled on and the iPod has become more and more successful, it is no longer a challenge to find aftermarket car stereos designed for use with the iPod. Numerous iPod compatible car stereos are available, but some of potential interest include the Alpine iDA-X300 and IVA-W205, the Clarion VRX785BT and MAX685BT, the Kenwood KVT-719DVD and DNX7120, and the Pioneer DEH-P3000IB and DEH-P500UB.
