What AFRs are being allocated?
The Victorian Government will be offering Crown leases within the nine AFRs across Port Phillip Bay and Western Port over the coming years. The first opportunity will be across six AFRs in Port Phillip Bay and Western Port. It offers interested parties a unique opportunity to secure leases in 192ha of Victoria’s high quality water. The first phase of allocation includes 18 leases. Interested parties are invited to apply for Crown leases through a ‘one-stop shop’ for State Government authorisations. Successful bidders will be awarded long-term registered Crown leases for up to 21 years, coastal management consent and aquaculture licences.
