What affect does the Internet have on society?
The internet is what we make of it. To some people it is merely a place to find an infinite amount of pornography, and yet to others, an infinite source of knowledge on any subject. I view it as neutral because it empowers the criminal just as quickly as it empowers the crime fighter. Of course you can become addicted but you can become addicted to food too, it doesn’t make food evil. I think the internet has a positive effect because it helps spread knowledge and boost productivity and speeds up the advancement of technology. Scientists from all over the world can share information seamlessly and instantly. It is important that we have the internet because we are in need of some technilogical advancements, and fast, if we are going to save this planet from ourselves. The internet is just the next step in our evolution as a species. The information age is now fully upon us.
