What advantages will the Toyota factory bring to West Virginia?
Senator: The main advantage of Toyota is that it will probably end up creating about 3000 jobs in West Virginia. Senator: And I say 3,000 because of something called the “ripple effect” — which means that 600 direct jobs at Toyota come out to three or four times that amount in the economy. What is interesting is that we are now a global economy, and West Virginia is right in the middle of it. NHS: As a result of the coming Toyota plant, are there any other Toyota companies planning on moving to the area? We understand that they tend to cluster.
