What advantages offer the TF Chips compared to conventional methods?
Conventional methods can only display the presence of TF transcripts (qPCR, microarrays for gene expression) or the presence of TF proteins (western blot). Analysis of activated TFs is so far only possible in single tests that need a high effort of time and sample material, sometimes even radioactivity is involved. The TF chips from Eppendorf show which signal dependant TFs are biologically active (and not only present as a protein), and the results do differentiate between individual members of TF families. In addition, as up to twelve TFs can be analyzed in one experiment the TF chips from Eppendorf save time and sample material.
