There are many reasons, but one major reason is: SkyTran doesn’t need batteries – its powered from the track. There is no need to use expensive batteries, or wait on battery technology to improve. Also, SkyTran is safer than any car, since there are no intersections, drunk drivers, or any other normal road hazards.
