What advantages does Czech Republic bring to the EU?
It joined the EU in 2004. Advantages included: -10,500,000 people. -$250,000,000,000 economy. -78,800km2 of land. -Free trade between the Czech Republic and the rest of the EU. -Free movement of goods and people. Disadvantages included: -Another nations’s opinion, and therefore a greater chance of treaties (like the Lisbon Treaty, which the CR nearly rejected) failing to gain unanimous support. -Some would say immigration, but i would disagree as it’s often necessary and beneficial. -Some Czechs may have been opposed to EU membership. I can’t really think of any other disadvantages off the top of my head, overall their membership has been a good thing so far in my opinion.
