Hi LAPIII, I do not know much about camcorders, I do not have one and I’ve never had one. I’m more interested in photography. However, I do take short videos from time to time, and I use digital photo camera which specifically designed with advanced video options (I’ll tell about this camera below). I’ve read your recent questions, and I’ll tell what I know. Hopefully it could be helpful. Digital cameras and camcorders have different sensors. 1. Usually video sensors have smaller size (physical size), as result they create more noise than photo sensors (physical size of the sensor DOES MATTER. That’s why DSLRs provide better images). Also because of smaller sensor size, some of camcorders have huge optical zoom (up to 35x). Many camcorders can take still images (as digital camera), but quality is not even close to the quality provided by photo cameras (my opinion). 2.
