What advantages do you think Theatre Practice can offer a modern organisation?

Following a debate, there appeared to be a consensus that elements of Theatre Practice would be very effective in a modern workplace. Many students, drawing upon their own work experience, believed that Theatre Practice would allow for a more active, two way, training and learning experience, in contrast to what they saw as the usual, run-of-the-mill work training. The students also drew attention to the ‘inescapable’ quality of Theatre Practice. Many of us have been involved in rather stale weekly training courses, in which it is viewed simply as a break from the office and participation is either limited or controlled by the trainer. Theatre Practice, however, involves everyone and encourages participants to create their own theatre based upon their actual work experience or on the supposed consequences of management behaviour and corporate restructuring, for example.
