What advantages can foreign institutions gain by partnering with a U.S.-based research institution?

The likelihood of success in this process is highly dependent on a researcher’s experience with it. For these reasons, many foreign investigators choose to work in a collaborative partnership with an experienced investigator and/or institution that has a successful record of obtaining NIH funding and can provide sound advice regarding the proposed research plan and grant application.
