Along with the control of the Mastercycler, the main advantage for users is the recording of performance data during a PCR run and the GLP (Good Laboratory Practice)-conform documentation and data security of performance data and PCR reports. Software simplifies data security by making the permanent connection of a printer to each currently operated Mastercycler unnecessary, thus minimizing the noise level and amount of paper printout especially when one PC can access more than one Mastercycler. Report generation and storing on a PC improve user overview, simplifying the generation of reports and reducing the danger of faulty programming. Programs can be filed in different directories; this in turn simplifies access to the reports already written.
