What advanced search options are available?
You can use a variety of search methods to narrow or broaden your results, including limiting, exact phrase, Boolean operators, truncation, wildcards, and proximity searching. See the Advanced Help section for more information. You can also use LINCCWeb’s Advanced Search and Expert Search. Advanced Search is a more extensive version of the Keyword Search that allows you to combine search fields and select built-in Boolean operators. Expert Search gives you access to two additional search types: Numeric Search and Command Search. Numeric Search allows you to search for an item by using an item-specific number such as a call number or ISBN. Command Search is a complex search option (generally used by librarians) that allows you to use Common Command Language Code to search the library catalog.
