Much of what lawyers do involves ADR processes and there are many opportunities to practice law in a ‘mediative’ fashion. Setting oneself up as a full-time ADR neutral straight out of law school can be a tough proposition, unless you have skills or pre-law school experience particularly needed in the field. The majority of neutrals use their ADR skills to complement their professional practice.
