STARbands are termed dynamic helmets as they are constantly monitored and altered throughout treatment depending on your individual child’s growth. Your clinician will take a series of measurements at each review, these measurements allow accurate reading of your child’s growth. Once the measurements are taken and recorded your clinician will be able to calculate your child’s expected growth until your next review. With this information various pieces of machinery are used to accurately remove areas inside the lining of the STARband correlating to the flattened areas.
