What adhesive can be used to glue vinyl tile to ceramic tile?
my white ceramic tile is hard to keep clean, I am trying to cover it with vinyl tile. The adhesive on the back of the vinyl tile will not stick to the ceramic tile. Bob C is correct. I am a tile contractor. I would never recommend putting vinyl over tile. It simply will not stick, nor will it look good in 6 months. Is it the tile or the grout that is dirty? Unless the tile is very very worn (as in scuffed so the ceramic glaze is missing), it should clean quite easily. Grout joints can be bleached, then sealed with a clear sealer. In very bad cases, grout can be removed and re-applied to the joints, then sealed.
