What actions is Lamons taking to curtail the problem of conflict diamonds?
Lamon’s views the problem of conflict diamonds as a very serious issue. We have taken the stance that we will only maintain relationships with vendors who adhere to the principles set forth in the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme (KCPS). This scheme was designed to prevent the filtering of illegal conflict diamonds into the global diamond supply chain, and thus we deem it mandatory for all our vendors to abide by the laws set forth in the process and we require them to provide a written statement to that effect.
