Response: The NRC continues to work with other federal agencies to assure consistency and effectiveness in thwarting a potential aircraft attack on a nuclear power plant. The NRC has worked with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and the FAA to develop guidance for general aviation pilots flying near nuclear power plants. The TSA has initiated a number of other programs to reduce the likelihood an aircraft could attack any type of facility in the U.S.
