The European Commission has issued four Decisions concerning this issue. Commission Decision 1999/363/EC deals with: • feedingstuffs suspected to be contaminated with dioxins; • live domestic fowl and hatching eggs which have been reared or produced in holdings put under restriction by the Belgian authorities; • the following products of Belgian origin (unless not derived from fowls reared in holdings placed under restriction by the Belgian Authorities or shown not to be contaminated with dioxin); poultrymeat (whether fresh, minced or mechanically recovered); poultrymeat products; eggs and egg products; rendered fats; processed animal proteins; and raw materials for the manufacture of animal feedingstuffs. Commission Decision 1999/389/EC (which revoked the earlier Commission Decision 1999/368/EC) extends the restrictions to pigs and cattle and to cover pork, beef and dairy products of Belgian origin which are derived from animals reared in Belgium.
