What action steps should be taken if an employee is injured due to a job related accident?
If an employee is injured at work, they should notify their manager immediately and contact the JHU Department of Occupational Health Services at 410-516-0450. A Report of Incident form must also be completed and forwarded to the Department of Occupational Services. The Department of Occupational Health Services, located in the Wyman Park Building on the Homewood campus, provides immediate treatment for work related injuries and illness. If the injury occurs on a night shift or weekend, please seek the appropriate medical treatment and follow-up with the JHU Department of Occupational Health Services the next business day. Employees at the Montgomery and Washington DC campuses should seek appropriate local medical treatment and follow up with the JHU Department of Occupational Health Services that same day, or as soon as possible, and complete a Report of Incident form. Please note that a Report of Incident form is not the same as a Workers’ Compensation Claim Form. Questions concernin
