What action should be taken if there is a positive drug test result, but the rail safety worker does not appear to be under the influence of a drug?
Under these circumstances, the operator may remove the rail safety worker from rail safety work and should take action in accordance with its drug and alcohol management program, which may include such things as counselling, rehabilitation or disciplinary action. All positive test results must be notified to ITSR.
