What action should be taken against the Government of Burma given the continued repression of the Burmese people?
I forget the title but I have read a book written by a Burmese refugee from the library about his escape into Thailand with a band of his fellow Burmesians. It was a most gripping tale. Their government has obviously done crimes against humanity and must be held accountable for their actions. I can’t recommend any military action at the time but I would recommend sanctions against them in trade regarding any military goods or anything that could be used by their government to further repress the masses. I do not recommend any trade restriction regarding humanitarian items. Finally I would call for more press coverage and continued focus upon their latest ill doings to remind the civilized world how short the Burmese government has come to becoming a true society lead by it’s people and not by a ruling military caste.
