HIPAA (the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) includes legislative-enforced protections to improve the availability of health insurance for individuals who move from one job to another, who are self-employed or who have pre-existing medical conditions. VSP is dedicated to ensuring timely compliance with all applicable aspects of HIPAA legislation. We are in compliance with all sections of the law currently in effect. VSP’s task force continues to assess the impacts of HIPAA legislation on our business processes.
