LAMDA Examinations qualifications are accredited by the regulators in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) is a credit-based qualifications framework, allowing a unit-based approach to building qualifications. All vocational qualifications will be placed on to the QCF, which replaced the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) in December 2010. The QCF is a new way of recognising learners’ skills and qualifications. It does this by awarding credit for units or small steps of learning. It enables people to gain qualifications at their own pace along flexible routes. One credit represents 10 hours of learning time. Learning time is the amount of time a learner at the level of the unit is expected to take, on average, to complete the learning outcomes of the unit to the standard defined by the assessment criteria.
