What accessibility options are available to me in WebCT Vista?
WebCT Vista aims to meet the legislative standards for Accessibility in the US: all the W3C Priority 1 accessibility Guidelines have been implemented, and many Priority 2 and 3 guidelines also. Accessibility enhancements include the following features: • ALT tags on all graphic elements • consistent use of form labels • collapsible menus • keyboard access to all utilities • content available in a high contrast color scheme • content is only presented in text and graphics • content readable without style sheets • data tables that are optimized for use with screen readers • consistent use of form labels • support for popular screen readers For further information on how WebCT is complying with Section 508 visit WebCT Accessibility webpages. Note: Staff should also consider accessible options when creating content for your WebCT course. See the Accessibility pages of the eLearning website for more information.
