What academic calendar is used at Rose-Hulman?
Rose-Hulman has three ten-week academic terms per year. Each term is followed by a four-day examination period. Fall term starts around the last week of August and examinations end the Thursday before Thanksgiving. Winter term starts the Monday after Thanksgiving with examinations ending in mid to late February. Spring term examinations usually end the Thursday before Memorial Day. Commencement exercises are usually held Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. In addition to the two breaks between terms (each ten days long), there are a four-day weekend during Fall term, a two-week break over Christmas and New Years, and a one-week break in the middle of Spring term.
