What about using Liquid Mix 16 and a Firewire audio interface like Saffire at the same time if you only have one Firewire port?
Thats absolutely fine. Providing the interface has two Firewire ports, like Saffire, you can chain the two devices together on the one port and theyll work. However, if the devices use a lot of the available bandwidth (e.g. a Liquid Mix and a multi-channel Firewire interface) then the products may not work to maximum capacity on the same bus, and an additional Firewire PCI card or Express Slot (or similar) may need to be purchased.
