I have alot of movies in .avi format (Divx,Xvid) and I’m wondering if I will be able to view them on my TV through my PS3? I’m also wondering if it can play .ogm and .mkv files. And also if files like .sub or .srt files will funktion on the PS3. and the answers The best answer It can play DivX and Xvid but not .ogm and .mkv files. Also, it doesn’t support soft subtitles (.sub or .srt files.) There was a firmware update that was supposed to have added DivX subtitle support, but I wasn’t able to get it to work, and after doing some extensive searching, wasn’t able to find anyone else that got it to work either. I found various topics on multiple forums with people all saying they couldn’t get it to work. Anyway… The PS
