What about Mondo Gecko, Ninjara, Slash et al. Are they going to appear?
Highly unlikely. Since the 4Kids TV series is based on the comic books by Eastman and Laird, only the characters that were created for the Mirage universe will probably be showing up. There will be some crossover between the old and new series (like Leatherhead) – but as was stated above, the characters will appear in their original form, not as they were depicted in the original cartoon. Peter Laird wants to keep the mutant count low in the current series because he feels that it makes the TMNT more special.
