The reason some folks have problems with them is the GLYCERINE or GLYCEROL in them. This is a special kind of carbohydrate which does not stimulate a lot of insulin reaction in your average person so the FDA says that it doesn’t necessarily have to be listed in the nutritional info on the label. The fact is that a good number of people DO react to the glycerin and if you are especially insulin resistant then the level of glycerine carbs in these protein bars that is NOT being reported can and often does create severe carb or sweet cravings and frequently throws these same people out of ketosis resulting in a stall or plateau in their weight loss. If you are having trouble with cravings and are not losing weight, try eliminating these bars from your regular diet.
