Residents will get a chance to weigh in on the rezoning request that will allow the Kingfisher Oceanside Resort and Spa to almost double in size. Owner Bill Brandes plans to add more than 100 rooms to the 64-room resort, add almost 60 seats to the restaurant and expand the total built area from about 62,000 square feet to 162,000. Buildings will be as high as four storeys and the resort will expand into the neighbouring lot to the south where the former owner had his residence.
