Were your newborns neck muscles strong enough to support its own head at birth?

Just a note–keep an eye on her as she gets older. Apparently, I picked up my head as soon as I was born, but as I got older (to the age when babies typically start holding their heads up on their own) my head tilted to the side. It turns out that I tore the muscle on the right side of my neck when I picked up my head, so I kept leaning my head to that side because it hurt, and the muscle grew back together short. To this day, even after months of physical therapy and neck exercises as a baby, I can’t tilt or turn my head too far to the left. So there’s your worse case scenario. Sorry to sound like a nag!!
