Were UBC Faculty and Staff given an opportunity to contribute to the People Plan discussion paper?
From June to November 2005, the Project Team encouraged and sought the input of community members by offering three vehicles whereby they could voice their concerns, thoughts, and suggestions. Participants could complete an Online Survey or Open Comment form or participate in a number of Focus Groups held on and off-campus. We received more than 500 completed Online Surveys and 80 Open Comment Forms. More than 180 participants registered for our Focus Groups. As well, we were fortunate to have 40 volunteers from the UBC community support the People Plan Project team during the consultation period. After gathering all of the feedback on the People Plan, we reviewed the information and rewrote the People Plan as a framework for action. The revised People Plan reflects the strategies and priorities identified by you and your colleagues. The People Plan is a collaborative project on a massive scale.
