Were there any surprises during the panel interview at KeyBank?
Yes. I was asked to rate myself, on a scale of one to 10, on different skills and personality traits. Each time after I rated myself, the interviewers asked why I rated myself that way. Did you reach a low point in this process? It definitely gets discouraging when all you can find are jobs that aren’t your “dream job” or when you don’t get calls back. But that’s all part of it. I just did my best to stay positive and focus on the goal of having some type of finance-related job by graduation day. What is your advice for others in the job search? Be open and persistent in your hunt. I applied for a lot of jobs I wasn’t thrilled about, and in a variety of locations (including overseas), but I figured any foot in the door is good.
