For another, most scholars who do believe in the historical veracity of the events related in the book of Exodus place the date of the Israelites departure from Egypt in the reign of Ramses II of the New Kingdom. Now, Ramses II reigned between either 1279 and 1212 BC or 1290 and 1224 BC, depending on whether you accept the High or Low Chronologies.
